How these changes will affect you:

• These changes do not affect you unless you haven't used your Google Account in two years or haven't used your account to sign in to any Google service in more than 2 years.
• Although these changes take effect today, as of December 2023, we just deleted the account.
• If your account is deemed inactive, we will send several reminder emails to both you and your recovery email address (if you have provided one) before we take any action or remove any content in the account.
• Once you delete your Google Account, you can't reuse the deleted account's Gmail address to create a new Google Account.

How do you keep your account active?

The simplest way to keep your Google Account active is to sign in to it at least once every two years.

• Read or send emails
• Use Google Drive
• Watch videos on YouTube
• Share photos
• Download the app
• Use Google Search
• Use Sign in with Google to sign in to third-party apps or services
