Google continues to promote AI integration into its services.
Recently, Google announced that the Google Search search service will display overview content using AI - AI Overviews for many other queries.
Google also announced another AI search engine called AI Mode.
Currently, AI Mode is only available on some accounts that have paid for the Google One AI Premium service, furthermore, users will have to manually access Google Labs to sign up for the waiting list.

On the Google Search interface, AI Mode will have a separate tab similar to the way the Photo or Video tab exists.
This experience is similar to using Google's Gemini or any other chatbot, however AI Mode allows users to interact with an AI model specifically trained for search tasks.

“What we're seeing from people who are using AI Overviews, is they're actually asking different types of questions to Google,” said Robby Stein, Vice President of Product on the Search group. He said queries are becoming more and more complex.
Google is now including the Gemini 2.0 model in AI Overview, and Stein says this will make Google useful in answering questions about math, programming, and anything that requires more sophisticated reasoning abilities.
However, many people, especially business owners or website owners, are concerned that AI synthesizing search content will cause traffic to the web to significantly decrease.
"We found that with Overview AI, people will grasp the context and they will click on links. And when they visit websites, they will stay on those websites longer," Mr. Stein reassured.
