New search experience<\/h2>\n
Google has launched a beta version of a technology called \u201cgenerative search experience\u201d (SGE), which uses generative AI to improve the quality of Internet search services.<\/p>\n
Japan and India are two markets that have recently accessed this new technology, just after the US.<\/p>\n
By the end of 2022, the APAC region contributed $47 billion in revenue to Alphabet (Google's parent company), accounting for 16% of the company's total global revenue.<\/p>\n
Google started out as a search engine provider, operating about 6 services used by more than 2 billion people worldwide.<\/p>\n
Beaumont emphasized that \"more than half of the world's Internet population is concentrated in the APAC region\", along with the economic growth of countries in the region, the increasing level of digital penetration creates huge \"room\" for development.<\/p>\n
